When you are booking an adventure trip at your travel destination, you want to make sure you have the best tour operator you can have. While there will be a number of people who offer adventure tours, the key to having a great outdoor vacation is making sure that the travel guide you have is experienced in working in the area where you will be traveling, and that they specialize in the kind of travel that you are interested in. You can find the best person for the tours you want, with a little research.

When you start your search for the best tour operators for an outdoor vacation, you can’t just open the phone book and expect them to pop up in it. Adventure tours are a little more specialized and you will have to take a different route to find them. The internet is your best bet. There are a lot of travel resources out there, and you may well find adventure operators at your travel destination have a website where you can learn all about them.

Before you can properly search for an adventure tour operator, you need to know what you are looking for. What is your focus on the trip? Is it the activities like hiking and rock climbing? Or are you more interested in the culture or environment in the area you are going to visit? Depending on what your focus is, you may need to look for different tour operators. Most tour operators specialize in one area or another, so you need to ask around to find one with your focus.

Next, you need to make sure the person you are going to trust your trip to, knows what they are doing. You need to research your tour operators to make sure they have been in the business for a while and qualified to be conducting these kinds of trips. You don’t want to end up out in the middle of nowhere without anyone to help you, and have an inept company leading the way. Once you start to find some of the adventure tour companies on the internet, you will need to look more into those companies and their backgrounds. See how long they have been around, and look for independent reviews of their services.

Next do some price and service checking. Call the companies who are offering adventure tours and ask them to solidify what the outdoor vacation includes and the cost so you know what you are going to get for your money. While a phone call is a good start, if you can, it’s better to seal the deal with a face-to-face meeting.

The best way to find out what is a great travel destination and adventure trip to take is by people who have been there. Talk to your family and friends and see if any of them have taken these kinds of trips and what experience they had. They may know of the perfect adventure tour operator to send you to.

As a tourist, you surely would want to take pictures. Start taking pictures in the Aquarium. If you have seen the entrance, walk some more steps until you reach the Aquarium. You will be welcomed with exotic fishes, sharks, and sea lions - just what you kids will surely love. Then again, the management discourages cameras flashing, so turn the flash function off while taking pictures in the area.

In addition to the fishes, a special refrigerated aquarium houses a number of penguins that have been found strutting along the beaches of Brazil. There are also sea lions on display in the Aquarium, a favorite animal among the children.

Of course most people know of London because of the Queen, who lives at Buckingham Palace and has a number of other properties around the city. There is much more to London than the Queen and the usual tourist attractions of Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and the likes. As the largest city in Europe the city is one of the most cosmopolitan in England and each sector of the city has it’s own uniqueness. To experience the quintessential London it is best to spend some time in the area known as the East End.

Anywhere east of the centre of London is known as the East End. When visiting London, the East End is not most peoples first port of call and it is often overlooked. However the area does have a number of popular tourist attractions, one of which is the incredible Bethnal Green Museum. Inside you will discover a massive selection of exhibits including the highly interesting collection of antique Doll Houses, including some that are several hundred years old.

must have been born close enough to Bow Church to hear it’s bells, which are known simply as “Bow Bells”. The word originates from the word “cokeney” which is old middle English for a cock’s, or misshapen, egg.

Sadly, during the dark times of the plague (1348-50), there were so many men, women and children killed that the dead had to be disposed of in large pits rather than individual graves. Archaeologists, digging in the area around Tower Bridge, found the remains of more than 700 bodies.

The main port of London was in the East End with the first being the West India Dock which was completed in 1802. For a long time, from 1788 to around 1960, it was the world’s busiest port. At it’s peak (in the 1930’s) the port’s docks saw 35,000,000 tons of cargo being handled and, at this time, the port employed around 100,000.

Over the centuries there have been a large number of famous, and some infamous, people who were born or lived in the East End. One of the most famous is Joseph Merrick (the Elephant Man), who was discovered in a freak show on the Mile End Road. The explorer Captain Cook, who hails from Wapping, met his wife in an East End Inn when she was only a sickly child. She was the daughter of the landlord. Captain Cook married his wife in 1762.

During the 1960’s the East End became famous for the gangster operations of the “Krays”. The Kray twins (Ronnie and Reggie) ruled an incredibly lucrative criminal empire which became headline news when they were finally brought to justice. One infamous East End criminal who famously evaded capture was “Jack the Ripper”. In 1888 Jack the Ripper brutally murdered five women then ceased much to the annoyance of the police. There were many suspects but little hard evidence and the debate continues to this day as to who really was the Ripper.

Many assumed that the Ripper was a Jewish person because, at that time, Whitechapel was almost entirely Jewish. The East End had always been where most new incomers first set up home when arriving in Britain. Even today the East End has a massively diverse multi-cultural populous and this is likely to continue for a great many years yet.
